A Ghost is White
“A Ghost is White: Ah Young and Zoe make a film about White City” is an experimental documentary following two Masters’ students at the Royal College of Art, White City as they uncover the colonial foundations of the area. Featuring interviews with researchers Dr Nathaniel Télémaque and Joanna Oyediran, the students explore White City’s ambitious architectural and social development from 1908 to the present day. As they gather more research and move from focusing on different storytelling mediums (ARG, ghost hunts and hauntings) to deciding to just make a documentary about the area's past and current development, the past seeps through the very film itself, distorting reality and time. This project uses footage shot on mini-DV (camcorder), digital camera and screen recording, edited and colour-graded in Premiere Pro and DaVinci Resolve. Created by A to Z Productions at the Royal College of Art. Shortlisted for SET Film Festival: (Official Selection - Screened at SET Social) Sonderhaus Film Club - The Places We Carry: (Screened at Pop Brixton)
